Church Communcations Group

We live in a information-saturated world, and knowing how to best communicate to members and communities is becoming an increasing concern in churches of all sizes. With people constantly bombarded by messages in their homes, in their cars, at school, and at work, getting the message of Christ through all the noise can be difficult. The Church Communications Group was created to help church communicators navigate through the issues of getting the church’s message to stand out in a busy world.

CCG meets approximately every six weeks to navigate through and discuss the many issues encountered by those who communicate for their church through print, web, audio/video, or multimedia. Previous topics have included:
  • copyright issues and the church
  • communicating to the millennial generation
  • the ethics and technology of ecommerce
  • usefulness of the most current technology (like Podcasts)
  • and more
By sharing ideas, discussing relevant issues, and critiquing each other’s work, the CCG is a great tool to help make your church’s communication to its members and the greater community as effective as possible.

CCG is made up of communication professionals and volunteers from churches in the Canton/Stark county area. They work as:
  • directors
  • writers
  • graphic designers
  • administrative assistants
  • ministry staff
on projects such as bulletins, newsletters, websites, advertising, videos and much more. All who work as communicators for their church—in any capacity—are welcome and encouraged to join.
